Mrs. Wilkins is a Registered Professional Industrial Hygienist. She has extensive experience conducting personal and area monitoring using pumps, data logging/ direct readings instruments and passive monitors; personal and area noise monitoring using sound level meter/dosimetry; comprehensive microbiological sampling, indoor air quality assessments for contaminants from insulation and building products, environmental tobacco smoke, odor sources and indoor allergens; site specific health and safety plans and report development consisting of recommendations based on survey results and customer needs Mrs. Wilkins has also performed numerous asbestos and lead based paint (LBP) related services including surveys/inspections to identify the presence of asbestos containing materials (ACM) or LBP, report preparation with recommendations, project oversight during abatement prior to demolition or renovation, air quality monitoring during daily abatement activities and clearance air monitoring conducted prior to the re-occupation of Program administrator for respiratory protection, lead, heat and cold stress, Responsible for qualitative and quantitative exposure assessment of chemicals, asbestos, and noise. Subject Matter Expert (SME) for indoor air quality investigations, exposure characterization, ventilation, and noise control engineering projects.
Pharmaceutical manufacturing over 70 chemical products from 125 raw materials. Assessed health risk due to chemical, noise, and heat exposure and designed personal protective equipment and engineering control programs to reduce exposure. Responsible for qualitative and quantitative exposure assessment of chemicals, noise, radiation, and ergonomic hazards. Responsible for ensuring that environmental and safety systems, policies and procedures in conformance with system requirements are in place, understood and followed. Seek out safety best practices and facilitates implementation. Develop and track various safety training programs. Manages air permit, ship hazardous, non-hazardous waste, universal waste and wastewater. Provide ongoing development of managers and technicians around key safety performance measures. Review all proposed plant process, layout and equipment changes; makes necessary recommendations to plant leadership to minimize adverse environmental, health and safety impacts. Lead and facilitate investigation of all injuries, near misses and illnesses. Ensures appropriate corrective actions are completed and documented in a timely manner. Manage the plant’s Workers Compensation program to minimize claims and control costs. Conduct inspections and audits as needed to measure effectiveness and implementation of Company EHS programs.
